The Food, Fibre and Timber Industries Training Council provides high level strategic information and advice to the Western Australian Government, the Department of Training and Workforce Development and State Training Board on the workforce development and vocational education and training needs and priorities of industry in Western Australia following extensive industry consultation.

 

EVENT COORDINATOR FURNCRAFT


(Approximately 180-250 hours over a 3 month period. Work hours can be very flexible and include some working from home. A work plan would be developed shortly after commencement. There is potential for this to be extended if other projects are initiated).


Our Event Coordinator will help us to develop and implement a Multi-Day Career Learning and Work Experience program showcasing the furniture making trades including: Cabinet Making, Upholstery, Furniture Finishing and Wood Machining.

KEY TASKS

  • Provide support and secretariat services to the Project Steering Committee.

  • Organise events, which includes liaison with stakeholders, planning timelines, logistics, resources

  • Contact stakeholders to identify key contacts for the events.

  • Maintain good project management files and records

  • In conjunction with stakeholders, develop promotional material for the event.

  • On completion of events, undertake an evaluation of the events and whether they have met the key deliverables.
